Unlike waxing, sugar paste adheres only to dead skin cells and hair—never live skin—making it less painful and reducing the risk of redness or inflammation. It’s applied at body temperature, so there’s no risk of burns, and it removes hair in the natural direction of growth, which helps prevent breakage and ingrown hairs. Plus, sugaring is water-soluble, making cleanup quick and easy with just warm water.
